Overview

The Kurt D80 is the industrial standard for large-capacity workholding, specifically engineered for high-horsepower "hogging" operations and precision milling on large bed mills or 50-taper machining centers. Built with Kurt’s legendary AngLock® design, this vise ensures that as clamping pressure is applied, the movable jaw is pulled downward, effectively eliminating part lift and maintaining parallelism within ±0.001".

Constructed from 80,000 PSI ductile iron, the D80 offers nearly double the strength and significantly better vibration dampening than standard grey-iron imports. This mass and rigidity allow for aggressive feed rates and superior surface finishes on large steel and iron castings.
