This Lucifer HDL-8012-C is a "Golden Era" industrial furnace, built at a time when heavy-gauge steel and premium American firebrick were the standard. Designed as a vertical space-saver, this unit allows a toolmaker to harden a part at 2300°F and immediately begin the tempering process in the lower 1200°F chamber—effectively doubling the output of a single-chamber shop.

The signature vertical lift doors are counterweighted for smooth operation, ensuring the hot face of the door remains parallel to the furnace and away from the operator. Whether you are heat-treating tool steels like D2 and A2 or performing delicate draws on carbon steel, this Lucifer system provides the thermal stability and safety that modern, lightweight imports lack.
